williams capello in mobile, alabama, on february 14th. >> this is video from our helicopter partnership with abc 7 news. the 46 year-old who is a resident of central city, colorado is expected to be transferred to the sonoma county jail. police say that he is responsible for three men who were found dead on february the fifth in a cabin in forestville. investigators believe that the men were waiting for someone who was going to sell them marijuana when they were killed allegedly by capello. >> authorities are searching for an inmate who walked away from a high

rock conservation camp that is just outside of weott, california. james prinz is described as a white male, 200 lbs., with blue eyes, off short brown hair and medium complexion. he stands approximately 6 ft. tall. prinz was sent to the california department of corrections for violence and battery on a peace officer. authorities are asking anyone who has seen him to 911. this morning, caltran investigates a failed train accident in palo alto. a man was struck and killed by a train near church hill avenue of around 9:30 p.m. last night. a caltran spokesperson says,

the the train remained stopped while the corner was in route to the scene. >> president obama is pressing congress to avert automatic budget cuts due to take affect in less than two weeks. the president will make his appeal during a white house yvette this morning. he will be joined by emergency responders, a group of workers the white house says could be affected if state and local governments lose their federal money as a result of the cuts. the $85 billion in across-the-board cuts is known as the sequester. the white house wants to offset the sequester with a combination of targeted spending cuts and tax revenue. >> mass cane will be the giants' opening day starter april 1st against the dodgers in los angeles. it will be cannes for scorer opening day start. last

steenkamp. that ruling came down this morning from a south african judge, but the judge said that he will consider downgrading the charge against the so- called " blade runner " later. with the new charge, pistorius case for a bailout may prove much more difficult. the defense must now try to argue that " exceptional circumstances " existed that would justify him getting bail. friends of a couple find that the chargers are hard to believe. >> meanwhile, steenkamp was laid to rest today at a private funeral service in her home town of port elizabeth, south africa. >> we are learning of a

possible motive in the newtown, conn. massacre. cbs news, up were citing sources close to the case, is reporting that adam lanza, the gunmen who killed 20 children and six women at sandy hook elementary on december the 14th, was obsessed with a another mass murderer. >> the report says, that lanza was fascinated with anderson's breivik, the man who killed 77 people in norway in 2000 and 11. reports indicate that lands of wanted to top that death toll. the sources in the report emphasized that an interest in breovol is just one theory. connecticut law enforcement officials reportedly traveled to washington, d.c., last week, to brief on the identified

>> a another winter storm is approaching the state, where it is expected to bring freezing temperatures, thunder, rain and snow as low as 1,500 ft.. the heaviest snow is expected to drop today, bringing up to 10 in. above 3,000 ft. and 2 to 4 in. and the foot hills above 2,000 ft. in northern california. in southern california, forecasters said temperatures will likely drop 10 to 15 degrees as low could reach low elevation mountain areas. >> we have moderate to heavy rain around concord off a highway for approaching to 42. w242. earlier this

morning we did see some rain pushed over the san rafael bridge. right now we are just dealing with scattered showers. we are dry and right now and the rain has pushed its way south. we are currently picking up rain in the burlingame area. 7:00 a.m. the rain should arrive here. his band of rain will continue to of go south. eventually it will cross the golden gate bridge and we are anticipating heavier rain for any hot and fairfield. this will continue to go out of the area. there are shades of blue where we may see snow

as well. scattered showers are on the backing of the cold front and we may have been isolated pop up shower by 9:00 p.m. tonight. >> we do have a winter weather advisory and affect to 1:00 p.m. today. it will be more than 2 in. of snow. the snow levels can actually drop as low as 1,500 ft. and this is something that we will continue to monitor. the majority of the bay area will see between a 10th of an inch of rain. right around the heart of the bay that may see more. the temperatures are popping out in the early 40's. your kron 47 day around the bay shows that unsettled weather will continue into tomorrow. thursday and friday should be dry.

>> the meeting lights were activated at the bay bridge toll plaza and this is likely due to the rain. we already have a backup performing. the drive time is running 14th t2014 to 16 minutes. the san mateo bridge looks good there have been no problems eastbound. the golden gate bridge ride is okay but they're getting a little rewent. we just got word of an accident that may slow things down. there is also a stalled semi truck on 680 south bound. this may affect the ride from san run out of dublin. the south bay freeway still looks good and they have no incidents.

people were arrested. two officers were injured. this fight took place in the north section of san francisco. this is no surprise to me because they have had a lot of fights breaking out on broadway. this video was captured by residents who stated that he was fed up. the fight took only about six hope minutes. this was captured by a surveillance camera. if you concede that some people left to take a break, only to return. it appears that once the fight was over the surveillance tape again called this fight. the police were called out from almost every district to get things back in order. the fact still remains the broadway has never changed. all we know is this

something needs to be done. in san francisco, stanley roberts kron 4. >> police at you see santa cruz are hunting for a man in connection with a violent attack and rape of a woman who was visiting the campus on sunday afternoon. we first heard about this story yesterday and police have now released a sketch of the man. he is described as a white male in his 30's, about 5 ft. 10 in. tall, weighing 200 lbs. with a muscular build. he has a full mustache and goatee, and a tattoo on his upper right bicep. >> a campus spokesman says, that the attack occurred around 1230 sunday afternoon, on a foot trail about halfway between the upper query amphitheater and

science hill. the 21 year- old woman tells police, that the man punched her in the face and torso, threw her to the ground and then raped her. after hearing of the attack via campus white female, other students expressed their shock. >> the victim was badly bruised and she spent the night in the hospital. she told police that her assailant ran a way toward the campus bookstore. >> here is a look at the venice boulevard.we do have storm tracker 4 that will tell us before you leave your home where it is raining. we will be right back.

eastern north dakota. this footage was shot in grand forks. you can see how the wind is picking up the snow there. the national weather service says that gusts reached up to 36 mi. an hour overnight. add to that cold wind chills and you have some nasty weather, in the area. the same storm system is dumping snow across a region. >> some scientists have pointed to global warming as the culprit for scant snowfall and barron's the slopes and parts of the midwest and northeast the past couple of years. then, when this blizzard coated the north east with more than 2 ft. of snow in some places earlier this month, some of the same people and gang blamed the global warming. but as it can be found anin atomosphere can

a house was hit by a tree. >> it just parted iran about 10 minutes ago. it was not rain that costa this tree to fall. the homeowners stated that they had an inspector, to check the 400 old dree. this stated that yesterday afternoon they came crashing down and is split their own. they stated that the crews are expected to be back here to clean it up. this damaged this a golf cart as well. if they have so much scorn on at this multimillion-dollar home. there were people inside of bone when this happened. here is what they had to say. >> the route structure was never damaged to where we were concerned. >> we have been here so long that we felt that the tree

leandro this morning. the fire broke out around 12:45 p.m. in a single-family home on elsie ave. that is near san jose street. the fire was contained a few minutes later. according to officials, no injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remains under investigation. >> one of the two people who were injured when a golden gate scary and a 22 ft. motor boat collided, has died. a second person in the motor boat was hurt and he remains in a hospital. that accident happened saturday evening near tiburon. the co-stars says, that the motor boat was traveling at a high rate of speed when it collided with the ferry. no one on the ferry was injured. the crash remains under investigation. >> three of the highest performing schools of this they are on the verge of being shut down. the
